Our Story

Built on a belief that
good things happen slowly.

Shop Dog Brewing Co. didn't arrive overnight. It grew the way most worthwhile things do — from a handful of weekend experiments in a garage, a stubborn refusal to cut corners, and a deep affection for this corner of the Ouachitas.

We chose Poteau because it's where we're from. We chose Dewey Avenue because it's where our neighbors are. And we chose the name Shop Dog because it sounded right — unpretentious, loyal, and honest about what it is. That's still the standard we hold ourselves to, every single batch.

Dewey Amber

Our house standard. Toasted malt backbone with a quiet hop finish. The kind of beer that doesn't announce itself — it just earns your trust.

Midnight Ouachita Stout

Dark as a cave in winter, smooth as anything should be. Notes of cocoa and roasted coffee, with a finish that lingers just long enough to make you order another.

Oatmeal Stout 6.2% ABV

Spring Creek Pale

Bright, hoppy, and impossible to drink just one. Citrus and pine on the nose, with a dry finish that begs for the next sip. Our most popular pour, and for good reason.

Pale Ale 5.8% ABV

Feral Wheat

Unfiltered, unapologetic, and refreshingly cloudy. A wheat beer that tastes like summer in Poteau — light on its feet and heavy on character.
